NewAutomatic approval mode — tenant admins can set approval mode to "automatic" in settings; loan requests are approved instantly after email confirmation, skipping the manual review step
NewOrganisation detail page — clicking an organisation in the platform admin panel now opens a detail page showing contact info, registered instances, and approve / suspend actions
FixedCancelled portals now show a "Cancelled" badge in the customer dashboard instead of "Inactive", and a Reactivate button appears to restore them
NewOrganisation profile page — customers can view their organisation details and update the name, email, and contact person; password change is available on the same page
NewCSV import — bulk-create inventory items from a CSV file; upload, review a row-by-row preview with inline error highlighting, then confirm; categories and locations are matched by name automatically; a one-click template download gets you started immediately
NewItem detail page — each inventory item now has its own page with three tabs: Details (all fields at a glance), Loans (full loan history for that item), and QR Code (generate and print a scannable label)
NewBooking timeline — a Gantt-style calendar under Admin → Calendar shows all active and upcoming loans per item across a scrollable 5-week window; bars are colour-coded by status; click any bar to open the loan
NewScan workflow — scanning a QR label opens a mobile-optimised page showing all active loans for that item; staff can issue (Reserved or Booked → active) or return a loan with a one-tap condition picker (OK / Damaged / Missing) — no desktop required
NewQR / barcode labels — print a scannable QR label for any item directly from the inventory; select multiple items for a bulk label sheet; scanning a QR code opens the item scan page where staff can issue or return a loan in one tap
NewSettings panel — tenant admins can now configure loan rules (max duration, item limits, advance booking window), approval mode (manual or automatic), email notification toggles, branding colour, contact email and legal links from a single settings page
NewPublic catalog — every lending portal now has a browsable catalog page at /catalog; visitors can search, filter by category and join the waitlist — no login required
ImprovedSearch and filtering now queries the server directly with pagination — results load faster and work correctly for large inventories
FixedCancelling a free instance and creating a new one now works — previously the limit check incorrectly counted cancelled instances
FixedCancelled portals no longer serve content — accessing a cancelled instance now returns a proper not-found response instead of showing the portal
NewWaiting list — borrowers can join a waitlist when an item has no availability; they are automatically notified by email when the item becomes available after a completed loan
NewMultilingual item catalog — admins can add English translations for item names and descriptions; international borrowers see items in their preferred language
NewLanguage switcher on borrower pages — borrowers can switch between German and English directly on the loan request form and status pages
NewDigital lending agreement — admins can set an agreement text that borrowers must accept before a loan is activated; signature is recorded with a timestamp
NewReturn inspection — staff can record the condition of each item when marking it as returned (OK, Damaged, Missing)
ImprovedDamaged returns auto-increment defect count — marking an item as Damaged on return automatically increases its defect quantity in the inventory
NewAutomatic overdue reminders — borrowers receive an email on the first morning a loan is past its return date
NewOverdue badge in loans list — past-due loans are highlighted in red with a dedicated "Overdue" filter
NewItem categories — group and filter your inventory with custom categories; category filter appears in both the admin catalog and the public loan request form
NewItem images — upload a photo per item (paid plans); images shown in the public catalog and loan request browser
ImprovedItem form — deposit, purchase price and purchase date moved into a collapsible section to keep the form lean by default
NewPDF export per loan — download a formatted PDF from any loan detail page
NewBorrower change requests — borrowers can propose changes to their loan via a secure email confirmation flow
NewLender type access control — restrict items to specific audiences based on email domain patterns (e.g. only @uni-bonn.de)
